Perfume Oil vs Eau de Parfum: Which Lasts Longer?
Perfume oil almost always lasts longer on skin than Eau de Parfum, but it projects far less. Oil stays close to the body for eight hours or more. An EDP spray is noticeable across a room for the first hour or two, then settles into a softer three to six hour trail.

Why oil lasts longer
Alcohol is a carrier that evaporates quickly, taking fragrance molecules into the air with it. That is what creates projection, and it is also why the scent thins out. Oil does not evaporate the same way. It sits on the skin and warms gradually, releasing scent over hours.
Which should you buy?
Choose perfume oil if you want something that stays with you all day, you work in close quarters where a loud fragrance is inappropriate, alcohol irritates your skin, or you want a small bottle to last months.
Choose Eau de Parfum if you want people to notice as you walk past, you are dressing for an event, or you prefer the convenience of spraying.
